Same Sex Couples

Same sex couples (male and female) who are not able to get legally married in Australia, but wish to celebrate their love for each other.

The couple are presented with a beautiful certificate on the day, plus a copy of your ceremony in a lovely presentation folder. I also choose a complimentary gift to give the couple.

Same Sex Ceremonies
1bLove Commitment Ceremonies are the perfect way for a couple whether gay, lesbian or heterosexual, to declare their love for one another in the presence of family and friends. These ceremonies also help to affirm the relationship in the eyes of the community.

It is not legal in Australia for same sex couples to marry, so a Love Commitment Ceremony is a wonderful way to show your love and commitment to each other. It is a "Bonding of love" between two people and helps them to receive public validation.

There are many countries overseas where it is legal for gay and lesbian couples to marry , and should a couple choose to go to one of those countries and legally marry under their laws, that marriage would not be seen in the eyes of the Australian Government as legal.

In some instances, the Love commitment Ceremony is also known as Same Sex Ceremony, Blessing Ceremony, Union Ceremony or Joining Ceremony. What ever it may be called, it is an important Rite of Passage marking the transition from one social state to another. During the Roman Empire, male soldiers were often "wedded" to one another prior to battle.

The couple are presented with a beautiful certificate on the day, plus a copy of your ceremony in a lovely presentation folder.

After the ceremony, the couple can register their relationship at the Sydney Town Hall.
